In this Research Note, we examine the latest divestment of Johnson Controls’ security business, the sale of ADT Spain to Sector Alarm, the Norwegian alarm monitoring company. Transaction Details Johnson Controls reported in its Q3 2026 10-Q filed 29th July that the company completed the sale of its ADT Spain Security business for net proceeds of $98 million on April 1, 2026. Sector Alarm & ADT Spain It was reported in the Spanish trade press on 13th April 2026 that Sector Alarm, the Norwegian alarm company had acquired ADT Spain.
