This Research Note examines the technology strategy of ASSA ABLOY, the Swedish headquartered global access control business, by analyzing the acquisitions, divestments, partnerships, and investments of the group’s Global Technologies division. In part 1, we map the strategic direction of HID by categorizing the various transactions by technology since January 2023. Part 2 covers the technology strategy of the Global Solutions business.
