In this Research Note, we examine what’s behind the launch of Legrand’s Wattstopper i3 platform, “a next-generation lighting and building intelligence solution” powered by KODE Labs, announced on 5th May 2025. We explore the development of Wattstopper digital solutions, strengthened by the Encelium acquisition, before commenting on the respective partners in this collaboration and the market for Building IoT platforms. Legrand Wattstopper Wattstopper, a product line of Legrand, offers energy-efficient lighting controls and solutions for commercial and residential applications.  The brand is part of Legrand’s Lighting and Building Control Systems division, serving North and Central America, which also includes the Vantage and Shading Systems product lines.
