Otis Targets 60% Connectivity by 2026: IoT Platform Analyzed

This Research Note examines the digital service offerings of Otis, the world’s leading elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation and service company.  We highlight the group’s strategic initiatives in digitalization, including the ONE IoT platform. This article is based on their Investor Day presentation, 2024 Annual Report, an interview with Judy Marks, CEO, 18th April 2025, and additional research. Otis Profile Otis Worldwide Corporation, an independent publicly traded company, was spun off from United Technologies in 2020 after investors pushed for the breakup of the conglomerate following the persistent underperformance of the parent company’s stock.  Five years later, however, shares in the company have roughly doubled, narrowly beating the S&P 500 index and far outpacing listed rivals Schindler and Kone. Headquartered in Connecticut, USA, Otis has a global workforce of 72,000 people, including 44,000 field professionals.
