	SmartVatten’s Growth as a Water Efficiency Tech Provider Explored
This Research Note examines Smartvatten, a Finnish specialist in water efficiency technology in Northern Europe which currently monitors, measures, and analyzes the water consumption of 7,500 companies in more than 20,000 properties and 200,000 apartments in 36 countries. Established in 2013, Smartvatten, formerly known as Envera, has grown from a small Finnish company providing energy certificates to a hardware-enabled SaaS company providing algorithm-based software analysis of water consumption data. They take data from mechanical, digital, and IoT-enabled water meters in a cloud environment to identify consumption patterns and detect leakages. The company has more than 120 employees in 8 countries and offices in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Germany.
