In this Research Note, we examine the smart building startup market in India. This analysis is part of our Startups in Smart Buildings Report, published in January 2025 in which we examined 30 APAC startups gaining traction. We assess the venture capital fundraising market in India, before highlighting 11 startups founded in India in the smart buildings space. Indian Fundraising Market Indian VC fundraising grew 77% in 2024, defying an overall decline of 24% in fundraising in Asia, according to PitchBook. This has been evident in the smart buildings sector with funding rounds for these 11 Indian startups, one of the major factors in enabling these companies to gain traction.
