Memoori has seen a 33% Decrease in Funding Rounds Compared to the Previous Year. However, with $3.5 Billion invested in 2023 and over $2 Billion already invested in the first 4 months of 2024, the outlook for investment remains positive. Find out more in the presentation below.

The global smart buildings landscape is heavily populated with new entrants. Memoori has tracked over 1,200 startups founded in the last ten years, which are active in the management and operations phase of the commercial building lifecycle.

Memoori analysis covers the period from January 2023 to the end of April 2024. 266 startup funding rounds were completed in this period, representing a total value of almost $5.5 billion.

Continued investment in climate-related real estate technology solutions applied to building energy management, sustainability, and carbon emissions reporting is benefited the smart buildings startup landscape. Artificial intelligence technology applied to a range of use cases in commercial real estate is also attracting investment to the sector.
